Waukesha : Wisconsin

Waukesha is a city in Waukesha County, in the Milwaukee-Waukesha metro area. It is the county seat of Waukesha County as well. The community was named for the Indian village here, whose name meant "burned land". Waukesha is on the Fox River and the city covers a total area of 56.2 km² (21.7 mi²) of which 55.9 km² (21.6 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it (0.32%) is water.
