Wisconsin : Tourist's Hot Spots

Wisconsin state is located in the north central region of the United States and is considered as the Midwest part of the state. The state has experienced a variety of cultures in the past twelve thousand years. The city is basically famous for its tourism. Destinations like house on the Rock and circus World Museum makes the city more interesting.

Madison:
Madison is the capital of Wisconsin and is also a very beautiful city as combinations of small grassy capitals and liberal bookish colleges can be seen here.
  • Frank Lloyd Wright Sights: Located on the outskirts of Madison Frank Lloyd Wright Sight is a well known pilgrimage for his fans and followers as it is the native place of Frank Lloyd Wright and his architectural school. The house was built in 1903 and another house on its hillside was built in 1932 and is regarded as the major tourist destination. 
  • Milwaukee Art Museum: Milwaukee Art Museum is situated in the Milwaukee city and is the first lake-side museum featuring a stunning wing-like addition by the famous Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. The museum has a collection of painting starting from 15th century. 
  • Harley Davidson Plant: The world famous cruise bike Harley Davidson plant is located in the downtown region of Milwaukee city.  In 1903 William Harley and Arthur Davidson built their first Harley Davidson bike and since it is America’s manufacturing pride.
  • City Hall: Built by Henry Koch in German Renaissance revival style the 393ft tall building is one of the last remaining skyscrapers left in the world. It was built in 1895 and is considered as an important trademark of the city.
Eisner Museum of art and Design:
The Eisner museum of art and design reflect how the medium’s affect today’s culture in a very magnificent manner.  

Door County:
Door County is a land well known for its apples and cherry trees. The main specialty of this place is a fish strew. The best way to explore this region is by bicycle.

Wisconsin Dells:
Few miles from the north of Baraboo is the Wisconsin Dells and is regarded as the state’s most popular holiday place as it is centered on the Wisconsin River and is also a good attraction for hikers. Amusement parks in Wisconsin dells are also a major tourist’s attraction.

House on the Rock:
House on the Rock is a wonderful sight on Deer Shelter rock. It contains 3200 windows, huge fireplaces, and waterfall and world renowned Infinity room. Many other attractions can also be seen in the 200 acres of house.

Lake O Lakes:
The region Lake O Lakes is centrally located between the Boulder Junction, Eagle River and Rhinelander touching the boundary of Michigan with more than 200 lakes that can be seen between the amid forests. This place is a very famous holiday place to hangout. Fishing is the most popular activity that is carried out here. Birdwatchers can have a good time as variety of birds can be found here.

Oshkosh:
The town of Oshkosh is located on Lake Winnebago, north-west of Milwaukee. This place famous as every year annual meet of aviators is held here in between July/August. More than 10,000 aircrafts have attended this meet and information about the air adventures is given at the Air Adventure Museum located in this town.
